Accessibility Statement for Julie Koning

 

Julie Koning is dedicated to digital inclusion and ensuring our website is accessible to the widest possible audience. We are currently in the process of upgrading our site using the Namecheap Website Builder to better align with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standards. 

 

Current Conformance Status
Our website is currently partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. While many parts of our site are accessible, a recent audit identified several high-priority structural and design issues that we are actively addressing within the Namecheap platform. 

 

Known Limitations & Remediation Plan
We have prioritized the following technical updates to improve our site's usability for everyone:

 

Color Contrast: We are updating our global site styles in Namecheap to ensure all text meets a minimum contrast ratio of 4.5:1.

 

Interactive Targets: We are increasing the size and spacing of buttons and links to make them easier to activate for all users.

 

Link Clarity: We are renaming vague links (e.g., "click here") to be more descriptive and meaningful for screen reader users.

 

Heading & Landmark Structure: We are restructuring our page templates to use logical heading hierarchies (H1 through H4) and proper ARIA landmarks (like "main" and "nav") to aid navigation.

 

And we are continuing investigation for other accessibility issues. 

 

Timeline
We aim to have all high-priority structural issues resolved by June 30, 2026, with full site-wide remediation complete by July 30, 2026.
